Abstract

Artificial Intelligence has revolutionized multiple aspects of human life and has fundamentally changed the way we work, make decisions, communicate and solve problems. Over the years, AI has evolved to advance machine learning algorithms solving complex problems. The recent advancement in Generative AI driven by the advent of large learning models (LLMs) have significantly increased the capabilities of AI, enabling machines to generate content, images and videos. Generative AI has transformed how the content is being generated and consumed driven by human type conversational ‘Prompts’ made between man and the machine. The next phase of AI evolution is Agentic AI. Agentic AI extends the capabilities of both traditional AI and Generative AI by incorporating ‘autonomy’ and ‘goal directed’ reasoning. Based on theoretical grounding of dynamic capability of sensing, seizing and transforming, this paper is a conceptual study to explore the role of Agentic AI in driving external market agility and internal operational agility.

Based on the theoretical grounding of dynamic capability of sensing, seizing, transforming this paper explores the role of agentic AI in procurement and human resource and how it can help drive market capitalizing agility and operational adjustment agility.
