- Abstract
To address the mismatch between vocational undergraduate computer course instruction and industry requirements in the information technology sector, this study focuses on reforming the teaching of the C++ course. The paper emphasizes the importance of integrating industry practices into education to bridge the gap between theoretical instruction and practical application. Using the C++ course as a case study, the paper proposes a curriculum reform approach that emphasizes career-oriented curriculum design, the implementation of a multidimensional blended teaching approach, the enhancement of practical training platforms, and the development of a high-caliber teaching faculty. The outcomes demonstrate that this approach significantly enhances teaching quality, improves students’ problem-solving skills and professional competencies, supports the cultivation of skilled technical professionals aligned with industry demands, and offers valuable insights for enhancing computer curriculum instruction in vocational undergraduate programs.
