Abstract

This paper reviews the current situation of the application of the Large Language Models in the field of English writing. First, it analyzes the importance of English writing ability and summarizes the research background and significance of applying the tool of the Large Language Models in English writing. Then, through the in-depth sorting and analysis of related literature at home and abroad, the current status and characteristics of the Large Language Models in the field of assisted learning and English writing are elaborated in detail, and the advantages and challenges of applying the Large Language Models in the current situation of English writing teaching are summarized. Finally, a comprehensive review of the existing research is conducted to summarize the shortcomings of the current stage and to provide a reference for future research. This paper aims to provide references for researchers in the field of applying the Large Language Models to English writing, and to provide some ideas and suggestions for follow-up research.
