- Abstract
Ciwandan Port acts as an alternative port to reduce the burden and congestion at Merak Port during peak periods, such as holidays, homecoming flows, and return flows. This study aims to measure the performance of Ciwandan Port as an alternative port to reduce the burden and congestion in crossings between Java and Sumatra during peak periods. The methods used include traffic data analysis, passenger analysis, parking capacity, waiting time evaluation, and user satisfaction surveys. The results of the study indicate that Ciwandan Port is able to reduce congestion at Merak Port. This performance evaluation provides a basis for recommendations for increasing capacity and services at Ciwandan Port, as well as more effective management policies. This study emphasizes the importance of performance measurement as an important step to ensure the success of alternative ports in reducing congestion and supporting better inter-island mobility.
