- Abstract
The article analyzes the role and importance of the curriculum in contemporary education, highlighting its evolution from a content-centered model to one oriented toward competence development. The fundamental principles of curriculum development are presented, such as coherence, relevance, flexibility, inclusion, and continuous evaluation, which ensure the quality of the educational process. The paper emphasizes the need to adapt the curriculum to the requirements of society and the labor market by promoting transversal competencies and lifelong learning. It also highlights the essential role of digital technologies in modernizing education by facilitating access to resources, personalizing learning, and diversifying teaching and assessment methods. A flexible and up-to-date curriculum represents a key factor in shaping individuals capable of responding to the challenges of a dynamic society.
