Welcome to the Proceedings of the 3th Lawang Sewu International Symposium on Humanities and Social Sciences 2024 (LEWIS HUSO 2024). The symposium was organized by the Institute for Research and Community Service of Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (UNIMUS) and served as a platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to exchange insights, discuss innovative ideas, and explore emerging trends in education. With the overarching theme “Challenges and Opportunities in Education for Sustainability”, the symposium sought to address sustainability. There is a need to move away from outdated hierarchical and technocratic models toward more flexible and empowering approaches in education for sustainability.
