Abstract
Background

Clinical manifestations that appear in infant sleep disorders include decreased immunity, growth disorders, physical development, and have an impact on the growth and development of the baby’s brain which can cause sleep disorders that cause decreased sleep quality. The sleeping position will help the baby to fall asleep more easily later, sleep is beneficial in producing three times more growth hormone than when the baby wakes up so that it helps meet the baby’s sleep rest needs. Objective: This study aims to determine the influence of sleeping position and how to fall asleep in babies aged 3-6 months by using Baduta Massage Stimulation and infant massage. This research method uses a two-group experiment design. The intervention group of 70 respondents with the stimulation of Baduta massage and the control of 70 people with infant massage. The baby’s sleeping position (dorsal, ventral, or lateral) will be randomized and observed during the sleep period. Data collection using instruments, posttest was carried out after 4 massages, analysis of statistical tests of Wilcoson, mann whitney, Chi-Square test. Results: Relative risk value (RR) of 1.256 means that babies who receive clown massage stimulation are 1.256 times more likely to sleep on their backs than babies in the control group who are given baby massage in the prone sleeping position., Relative risk value (RR) 9.600 means that babies who receive clown massage stimulation have 9.600 times more likely to succeed in falling asleep than babies in the control group who are given baby massage. Conclusion: there are differences in sleeping positions and how to fall asleep in the Baduta Massage Stimulation and Baby Massage groups. Advice helps parents and health practitioners in choosing a more effective massage method.
