- Abstract
The issue of differences in preschool education between urban and rural areas has received widespread attention, but there are still shortcomings in three main aspects: urban-rural financial investment, policy tilt effects, and resource allocation mechanisms. This article analyzes the specific factors that contribute to the gap in preschool education between urban and rural areas in Kunming. It identifies the economic foundation gap between urban and rural areas and the imbalance in teacher structure as the two main influencing factors. Based on the characteristics of Yunnan’s multi-ethnic and mountainous areas, and using a mixed research method, this article proposes the following suggestions, which are divided into two main points: comprehensive adjustment of policy content and dynamic adjustment of policy and practice.
