Abstract

With the rapid digitalization of education, music teaching and learning have greatly evolved, presenting new opportunities for more personalized and interactive experiences. In addition to technology integration, noticeable shortcomings still exist in engaging students and supporting their SRL. This paper attempts to review the emerging role that GenAI seeks to fill in the above gaps in music education. This paper deals with GenAI technologies such as intelligent feedback systems, adaptive practice tools, and composition platforms that provide real-time feedback, goal setting, and reflective learning. The processes of interactivity and autonomy, alongside motivation, thus make the process of learning music more custom-tailored and stimulating. Some recent studies have shown that GenAI chemises the quality of feedback, deepens emotional and cognitive engagement, and encourages the independent development of musical skills. Given the findings, the paper thus endorses the utilization of GenAI in music pedagogy, whether through hybrid models, teacher training, or equitable infrastructure. This will assist in providing learner-centered environments in tune with 21st-century educational needs. Essentially, GenAI is expected to evolve music education into inclusive, cooperative, and self-taught occurrences.
