- Abstract
With time, there is a growing trend of integrating education with technological tools. The emergence of technology has greatly changed the way people live, work, and learn. Compared to the traditional classroom model, the integration of flipped learning with technological tools offers a new model for creating a student-centered learning environment. This essay is based on the cognitive load theory and employs a desk-based research methodology to explore how technological tools can be utilized to optimize the implementation of the flipped classroom for more effective language acquisition. Through deep discussion of the two main stages of flipped classrooms, findings indicate that in the pre-class preparations and in-class activities, technological tools help reduce cognitive loads, improve language learning outcomes, and cover some of the current drawbacks of the flipped classroom. These results offer some practical insights for TESOL educators and suggest potential directions for future research on technology-enhanced language education.
