- Abstract
The study focuses on how parental over-controlling behaviors on adolescent affect social performance when parents have chronic diseases. Through data analysis of 224 valid questionnaires using SPSS 26.0, it is found that parental chronic diseases are significantly correlated with parental over-controlling behaviors and adolescent social performance. The study demonstrates that parental chronic diseases exert both direct and indirect influences on adolescent social performance. The mediation effects of parental over-controlling behaviors in three aspects, namely psychological control, daily life control, and life planning control, are all significant. This research provides a basis for promoting the healthy psychological development of adolescents. In future research, the methods can be improved to explore the relevant mechanisms in depth.
