Abstract

In the context of deepening the reform of education evaluation and an increased emphasis on core competencies, project-based learning (PBL) has become an important way to cultivate students’ comprehensive abilities due to its interdisciplinarity, practical application and focus on deep learning. As an extension and implementation of the project-based learning concept, project-based homework not only connects real-life situations, but also addresses the shortcomings of traditional teaching. Taking the junior high school physics lesson ‘Application of Leverage in daily life’ as the research focus, this paper constructs a comprehensive project-based homework system that spans the full teaching process: before, during, and after class. With a goal of integrating teaching and evaluation, the study explores the pathways for deep integration of the two, analyzes the practical challenges during implementation, and identifies directions for future development. The paper aims to provide new insights and practical references for front-line teachers to carry out competency-oriented teaching design.
