- Abstract
To explore the relationship between generative artificial intelligence use (GAI Use) and creativity, as well as the roles of creative self-efficacy and family socioeconomic status (Family SES) in this relationship, 427 questionnaires were distributed to college students, with 355 valid responses collected. The results showed: (1) GAI Use had a significant positive impact on creativity; (2) Creative self-efficacy mediated the relationship between GAI Use and creativity; (3) Family SES positively moderated the relationship between GAI Use and creative self-efficacy, meaning that as Family SES increased, the positive impact of GAI Use on creative self-efficacy was enhanced. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of the positive role of GAI Use in fostering creativity in the digital age.
