Abstract

The operating system principles course is a core course for computer majors, and it is of great practical significance to evaluate and optimize its teaching effects. This article takes a total of 8 teaching classes of vocational education classes (general high school students) and counterpart classes (vocational high school students) as the research object, and collects and analyzes their course performance data for four semesters. Through comparative analysis, score segment statistics, and standard deviation calculations, the vocational education class is superior to its counterpart class in terms of excellence rate, average score, and performance stability. In response to the problems reflected in the achievement differences, this article analyzes the causes from the three dimensions of individual student differences, teaching models and evaluation mechanisms, and then proposes reform strategies such as building an online and offline hybrid teaching model, implementing a group tutoring mechanism, building an employment case resource library, and establishing a multi-process evaluation system, to provide reference for the reform of computer major courses in similar colleges and universities.
