Abstract

Industrial simplification is one of the important issues that must be solved for the sustainable development of Macao’s economy. As the main source of Macao’s retail industry, luxury goods are one of the effective paths for Macao to achieve economic diversification in the future. Based on the current economic development situation in Macao, this article conducts a SWOT analysis of the development of the luxury goods industry in Macao, and proposes the establishment of industry organizations in the future to improve the level of the luxury goods industry, strengthen the construction of logistics and warehousing, extend the relevant industry chains, and carry out professional training to improve luxury goods. Strategic suggestions include improving the talent level of the luxury goods industry and expanding the high-consumption customer base through the development of Macao’s own high-end brands.
