Abstract

The construction of new engineering is not only the urgent need to promote the innovation-driven development strategy, but also a new strategy to promote the reform of China’s higher education, industry-specific colleges and universities, as the backbone of the construction of new engineering, has an important leading role in the development of its new engineering. This paper focuses on the core issue of “what effective paths may exist in the development of new engineering in colleges and universities with industrial characteristics”, hoping to provide some help for the development of new engineering in colleges and universities with industrial characteristics. First of all, using the rooted theory theory, with the help of NVivo 12.0 software, we analyse the text of 40 excellent cases in the second batch of new engineering research and practice projects, and obtain six key factors affecting the deveopment of new engineering in colleges and universities with industrial characteristics, so as to construct a theoretical model. Then, 24 cases were selected as typical cases from the second batch of research and practice projects of new engineering disciplines in colleges and universities with industrial characteristics, and fuzzy set qualitative comparative analysis method was applied to study how different factors interacted with each other to form an effective path for the development of new engineering disciplines in colleges and universities with industrial characteristics with the help of fsQCA3.0 software. Finally, countermeasures are proposed for the development of new engineering in colleges and universities with industry characteristics by combining the effective paths for the development of new engineering in colleges and universities with industry characteristics.
