Abstract

The revolutionary potential of Augmented Reality (AR) in education is examined in this study, with a focus on how it might be used to build immersive and interactive learning environments. By fusing digital data with the real environment, augmented reality (AR) creates immersive, interactive experiences. We examine developments in augmented reality tools such as ARKit, ARCore, and Microsoft HoloLens, emphasizing their use in remote learning, labs, and classrooms. Case studies highlight AR-enhanced history textbooks that vividly depict historical events, virtual chemistry experiments, and 3D anatomical exploration applications for biology. AR’s adaptability is further illustrated by collaborative remote learning scenarios and cultural heritage projects. The study addresses issues including high device prices, technical support requirements, and content development restrictions while highlighting important advantages like improved spatial understanding, higher engagement, and better visualization of complicated concepts. In order to improve educational outcomes, we conclude by recommending advancements in AR technology, the integration of AI, and more extensive uses in special education and vocational training.
