Theme: SUSTAINABILITY IN EMERGING ECONOMIES – INTEGRATING BUSINESS EXCELLENCE IN MANAGEMENT EDUCATION December 19–20, 2024

General Information

The purpose of responsible management education and research is to integrate United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into teaching and research in management institutions. The B-School Management programmes play an important role in developing the managerial competency, and thus ensure that future leaders develop skills needed to balance economic, environmental, and social goals. Thus, taking sustainability driven research to classrooms is a way to build excellence in teaching and finally business, governance & society.

TLC@MDI understands this responsibility and organized a two-day Doctoral Collo-quium & Conference on, “Sustainability in emerging economies – Integrating business excellence in management education” that can be built in with Academic – Research Conference(s).

. The event provided a platform to bring young scholars and early career academics, where they were groomed on Active Learning Pedagogies, got feedback on their research ideas and how those could be linked to course curriculum and classroom delivery, by expert and award-winning eminent Management researchers & teachers of national and international repute.

Format of the Colloquium

The doctoral colloquium was designed to impart skills on sustainability to participants who wish to promote the growing need of sustainable practices in manufacturing and service industries through teaching and research. This colloquium/professional development workshop empowered the participants with required methodologies and tools on sustainability for business excellence through real world examples and case studies in emerging economies. The discussion sessions and panel talks led by experts in various domains of sustainability motivated researchers to start deliberating on these essential goals for well-being. TLC provided teaching based cutting edge pedagogy workshops on Simulation, Story Telling – Theatre, Case Teaching, Editorial Panels, and brought Industry based research into classroom for the participants.

Format of the Conference

The conference provided an opportunity to the participants to share their research and perspectives with a wider audience of experts. The conference helped the participants to gather invaluable insights to develop the value proposition and novelty of research. Participants also got the opportunity to receive guidance, network and collaborate with domain experts. The research manuscripts/cases were based on the theme of the conference.
