- Abstract
Teaching materials are tools that teachers can use as support and guidance in conducting learning. This tool has various types, one of which is a teaching module. Limited reading resources for teachers in designing learning is one of the obstacles for teachers, especially in the context of science and mathematics learning for early childhood. This research aims to describe the need for science and mathematics teaching modules to support early childhood learning for kindergarten teachers. This research is survey research with a quantitative approach. The population and sample in this study were 30 kindergarten teachers in the Palembang City area. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data collection technique uses a questionnaire which is prepared using a Likert scale and has been validated by experts. Research data was analyzed using proportion analysis and mode analysis. The research results show that teachers do not have teaching modules as reference material in designing science and mathematics learning, so that science and mathematics learning is monotonous and not contextual.
