- Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the lesson study (LS) approach integrated in problem-based learning (PBL) model on students’ collaboration skills and to determine the differences in student’s collaboration skills between the LS integrated PBL model and the PBL model. This research method used is descriptive quantitative. This research was conducted at SMAN 1 Salatiga. an instrument for measuring collaboration skills developed by Greinstein. The data analysis technique used was inferential statistics with paired sample t-test, independent sample t-test and N-Gain. The PBL-LS model has a significant effect on collaborative skills with a p-value of 0.00 (α = 0.05) with an N-Gain of 0.32 in the medium category. There is a significant difference between collaborative skills in the PBL-LS class and the PBL class. Lesson study in learning is carried out to assist teachers in planning student activities and improving learning tools by involving collaboration between teachers in the biology field of study. Based on research, it can be concluded that the PBL-LS learning model has an effect on students’ collaborative skills. Analysis of difficulties in the respiratory system sub-material includes gas transport and exchange, respiratory organs, and control and speed of breathing.
