- Abstract
Urban renovation and ecological restoration is a city renewal action with Chinese characteristics, which is an important means of addressing urban diseases and promoting urban transformation and development. This article focuses on the problems brought by the rough development of cities in China to historical streets and alleys. Taking Youyi Street in Hankou, Wuhan as an example, the design practice of “urban renovation and ecological restoration” of historical streets and alleys is carried out. On the basis of actual environmental research, starting from community ecological restoration and community renovation, this paper analyzes the problems existing in the texture of alleys, landscape greening, transportation network, public facilities, etc., and combines the characteristics of this historical street and alley to propose renewal strategies and renovation visions, in order to provide reference for relevant planning departments.
