- Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to explore how traditional construction techniques and modern architectural design can coexist. Taking Yunnan as an example, through an in-depth study of traditional construction techniques, its advantages in terms of aesthetics, functionality and sustainability are analyzed. The study adopts a combination of literature analysis and case studies to illustrate the practical application of traditional construction techniques in modern architectural design and reveal the challenges and opportunities they face by interpreting the technical, artistic and ideological characteristics of traditional construction techniques. The results of the study show that Yunnan traditional construction techniques can not only provide unique ethnic cultural heritage for modern architectural design, but also promote sustainable development in terms of material use and ecological design. Finally, suggestions for the rational coexistence of traditional construction techniques and modern architectural design are put forward, providing new ideas for subsequent research.
