Abstract: This study aims to analyze the implementation of legal protection for workers in the Makassar Industrial Area (KIMA), with a focus on identifying factors that influence the effectiveness of legal protection and providing recommendations for improvement. This study aims to analyze in depth how legal protection for workers is implemented in the Makassar Industrial Area. Through a normative legal approach, this study will identify factors that influence the effectiveness of legal protection through the Occupational Safety and Health (K3) System. Data were collected through literature studies and interviews at KIMA. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of legal protection for workers in KIMA still faces various obstacles. Legal protection for workers in the Makassar industrial area includes the right to receive compensation and damages in the event of a work accident caused by negligence or lack of attention to K3 standards by the company. This study recommends improving supervision and law enforcement, increasing the socialization of regulations to employers and workers, and strengthening the role of trade unions in protecting the rights of their members. It is hoped that this study can contribute to improving legal protection for workers in KIMA and other industrial areas in Indonesia.
