Abstract

Museum education is reviewed in this article as one of the main activities of the museum alongside with the storage, study and exhibition of museum objects. The educational activities of some museums in Uzbekistan are not sufficiently organized and coordinated with educational institutions these days; they do not always correspond to the modern vision of the museum as a single scientific, cultural and educational complex. The author shares information on the quantity, directions and form of the activities of art museums of Uzbekistan. The most important tool for the development of the activities of museums of the educational institutions is interactive forms of work, including master classes, quest games, educational games and interactive staging.

The article provides positive examples on the preservation of the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan and the role of the museum’s educational activities in the formation of a responsible attitude to the world around us. The study also examines the principles and roles of the museum in the environment, as well as the development of ecotourism in Uzbekistan. The role of the museum in this process has become more prominent recent years, which is confirmed by the increased size of the visitors. The role of ecotourism in the preservation of the cultural heritage of Uzbekistan is revealed on the example of the created festivals and holidays. The museum in the modern world around us is multifunctional, its tasks as a social institution are changing. The article describes the role of the museum as one of the platforms for the popularization of natural sciences, including ecology.

The transformation of a museum, like any social institution, reflects the needs of society, in particular, in such platforms where exhibition, educational and scientific work with young people is carried out, allowing them to further determine their personal and professional development routes. The article also examines in detail the exhibition projects of art museums in Uzbekistan. The training of museum personnel, which is a key component in the development of museum business in Uzbekistan, has been studied. The main advantages of using interactive forms in the museums of educational organizations, which allow improving museum work and use the museum at an educational institution as the most important resource for the development of museum pedagogy and ecotourism in Uzbekistan, are listed in the conclusion.
