Abstract

This study addresses the urgent demand for high-level application-oriented talents in the integrated circuit industry of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area by proposing an innovative talent cultivation model centered on “industry orientation, school-enterprise collaboration, and multi-dimensional education.” By analyzing gaps between existing education systems and industry needs, solutions are developed, including curriculum updates, skill enhancement, and interdisciplinary integration. The model transcends traditional classroom limitations through diversified teaching methods, establishing a ternary teaching ecosystem of “project-based learning, hybrid resources, and problem-chain guidance,” coupled with a “five-innovation synergy” mechanism to boost students’ innovation capabilities and comprehensive competencies.

Key innovations include: 1) A “four-industry integration” framework aligning academic expertise, career planning, and industrial demands; 2) A “course cluster + five-innovation synergy” mechanism bridging regional industry needs with pedagogical processes; 3) A multi-course integrated teaching ecosystem grounded in real enterprise projects, ensuring students’ readiness for complex IC challenges.

Through industry-education collaboration, this model has cultivated over 3,600 graduates, achieving an employment rate above 90% for four consecutive years. Students demonstrated excellence in competitions, research (28 papers, 5 patents), and practical projects. Institutional platforms, including provincial IC talent bases and funding support (8 million CNY), further validate its effectiveness. The outcomes highlight a replicable approach for advancing IC talent development and regional industrial growth.
