- Abstract
With the advent of the big data era, the use of the internet has become more widespread, and instances of its misuse have increased correspondingly, with internet addiction being one of the most prominent issues. Adolescents, who represent the group most affected by internet addiction, are also the primary focus of talent cultivation within the education system, garnering extensive attention from academia. Internet addiction poses significant harm to the development of adolescents, making it crucial to address its causes and countermeasures. In response, this paper proposes the perspective that the causes of adolescent internet addiction must be clarified to facilitate the implementation of measures by multiple parties. By integrating the Biopsychosocial (BPS) model with the life-cycle process model and employing methods such as illustrative arguments and citation-based reasoning, this study draws upon psychodynamic theory and systems theory to analyze the causes of adolescent internet addiction. Preliminary improvement measures are proposed, aiming to provide a reference for further research on adolescent development and the detrimental effects of the internet.
