Abstract

China has entered the AI era; new qualifications for professional technical staff are required due to the digitalization transformation of the production mode in this era. It is necessary to alter the vocational education (VE) training standard system to meet and adapt to the industry’s intelligent development. Germany’s new round of reform of the training system in manufacturing has innovatively adjusted the existing teaching system to satisfy the new qualification requirements in the Industry4.0 era. The reform manifested in typical features: it builds an adaptable, integrated and open curriculum system framework; it stresses digital competence, and system and process ability; it supplements and modifies training objectives; and all stakeholders can cooperate to modify the content of training standards. Drawing on the experience of German VE and training, the enlightenment on China’s VE can be obtained from three aspects of objective positioning, additional requirements and multi-party cooperation to carry out localization, transformation and adaptation.
