- Abstract
Guided by the principle of the unity of knowledge and practice, a questionnaire was designed to investigate the university students’ awareness and practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) culture. The questionnaire was structured around four dimensions: knowledge, affective, behavior, and environment. The knowledge dimension focused on three core aspects including literacy in classical TCM theories, understanding of TCM health culture, and comprehension of TCM history culture. The affective dimension assessed students’ sense of identity and confidence toward TCM culture. The behavioral dimension examined students’ attention and dissemination behaviors related to TCM culture. The environmental dimension investigated the influence exerted by both campus atmosphere and broader societal surroundings. Then, based on the survey data, this study conducts a deeply analysis of the current state of the university students` awareness and practice of TCM culture, examining differences across academic levels and between medical and non-medical students. It further explores the reasons of the observed phenomena combining with practical situation. At last, promotion strategies aligned with the unity of knowledge and practice are proposed, focusing on three aspects: innovate classroom instruction, diversify dissemination channels, and strengthen cultural practice.
