Abstract

The rapid advancement of educational informatization and artificial intelligence (AI) has led to a transformative shift in higher education, with College English teaching undergoing a digital transformation. National policies, such as China’s Education Modernization 2035, emphasize integrating intelligent technologies into education, fostering a more personalized and efficient learning system. This article discusses the significance of adopting the Blended Teaching Model, which combines online and offline learning, supported by AI tools and data analytics. By incorporating the Constructivist learning theory, this model facilitates student-centered, interactive, and adaptive learning environments. This study enhances existing research by incorporating empirical data from recent case studies and proposing an integrated theoretical framework that combines constructivism with AI-driven personalization. Despite challenges like uneven resource quality and ethical concerns surrounding data use, the blended model shows promise in improving student engagement, language skills, and overall learning outcomes. Looking ahead, further integration of AI and big data will make College English teaching smarter, more personalized, and globally connected.
