Abstract

Against the backdrop of rapid social development, applied universities face both challenges and opportunities in art and design education. To meet the market’s demand for diversified talents and cultivate high-quality applied professionals, the effective utilization of informal learning resources has become key to advancing art and design education. This paper delves into the connotation, characteristics, and classification of informal learning resources, thoroughly exploring their application pathways in enhancing students’ practical and innovative abilities, promoting interdisciplinary integration, strengthening self-directed learning, and fostering university-enterprise collaboration as well as the integration of industry and education. Additionally, specific case studies are analyzed to propose implementation strategies. Finally, a comprehensive evaluation of application outcomes is conducted, and future development trends are discussed, aiming to provide theoretical support and practical guidance for the reform and development of art and design education in applied universities.
