- Abstract
This research focuses on the teaching of the concept of limit in the “Mathematical Analysis” course, exploring how to integrate ideological and political education elements deeply into mathematics teaching to achieve the organic unity of knowledge imparting and value guidance. Based on the “Guidelines for the Construction of Ideological and Political Education in Higher Education Courses” issued by the Ministry of Education, and targeting the issues of superficial and fragmented ideological and political elements in current mathematical analysis teaching, this paper proposes a transformation mechanism of “knowledge understanding → thinking improvement → value internalization.” By deconstructing the concept of limit from historical, philosophical, and methodological dimensions, ideological and political elements are systematically integrated into teaching practice. The use of computer technology and artificial intelligence tools, such as Python for data visualization, enhances students’ intuitive understanding and practical abilities. In the historical dimension, by comparing the development of mathematics in China and the West, students’ cultural identity and scientific spirit are enhanced. In the philosophical dimension, through the dialectical relationships in the concept of limit, students’ dialectical thinking ability is cultivated. In the methodological dimension, through strict mathematical proofs and engineering applications, students’ awareness of the rule of law and systematic thinking are shaped. Teaching practice shows that this integrated approach significantly improves students’ comprehension of mathematical concepts, strengthens their value identification, and boosts their overall literacy. Future research will focus on developing virtual-reality integrated experimental platforms and interdisciplinary teaching communities to further promote the systematic construction of STEM ideological and political education.
