Abstract

With the rapid development of scientific and technological informatization and modernization of education, new challenges are posed to traditional education and teaching methods. Aiming at the problems of profound theory, abstract concept and passive learning of students in the course of “welding methods and equipment” offered by welding majors in colleges and universities, it is proposed that based on the self-developed domestic Simdroid software platform, the virtual simulation APPs of auxiliary teaching resources for welding thermal process should be developed by adopting the project-based teaching method with the students as the center, and practiced in the theoretical and experimental teaching in the mode of on-line and off-line integration. Developed APP in a variety of parameters adjustable, can be cloud computing, has been promoted and uploaded to the network education platform for the same courses in China and abroad, realizing the “Internet + virtual simulation”. The comparison shows that this project-based teaching method helps students understand complex welding theory, stimulates the students’ learning interest, and cultivates CAE digital simulation development talents and lays the foundation for the high-quality cultivation of students’ second classroom innovation and practice ability.
