Abstract

SPOC is a school-based teaching mode of MOOC courses, which is a small-scale restricted online course formed by setting access conditions. The teaching mode based on SPOC can make up for the disadvantages of offline large-scale classroom teaching and single paper assessment. Taking the course of Elementary School Mathematics Teaching and Research as an example, the SPOC teaching model was used to carry out experimental research. The students of Classes 2, 3, 6, and 7 and Classes 1, 4, 5, and 8 of the Elementary Education Major of Class 2023 were set up as the experimental group and the control group respectively. The course assessment scores, teaching research skills and classroom teaching satisfaction of the two groups were observed. The experiment process includes the arrangement of online course resources, the implementation of offline classroom teaching, and the construction of a mixed evaluation index system. The results showed that the total score of the experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group, the classroom report results were better, and the classroom teaching satisfaction of the experimental group was 14.21% higher than that of the control group. It is preliminary clear that SPOC can enhance students’ learning effect, especially for students with medium achievement and introverted personality. According to the current situation of SPOC construction and application in the experiment, several suggestions are expounds: continuously strengthening online supervision, scientifically allocating online and offline learning time, and the role of teachers should be changed again under the changing background. The research is expected to provide practical experience for primary school mathematics education and innovate the educational model.
