Abstract

Integrating the development of soft skills into the basic training of future teachers is of crucial importance when it comes to preparing these professionals for their evolving role in today’s educational landscape. Beyond the acquisition of disciplinary knowledge, teachers must have the behavioral competencies essential for success in ever-changing learning environments.

In this article, we present an innovative approach to developing soft skills in trainee teachers, by exploiting the capabilities of Artificial Intelligence (AI). As soon as they are admitted, trainee teachers will be assessed via online tests, enabling AI to target the behavioral skills they need to strengthen. By recommending personalized resources and specific tests, this approach prepares teachers to meet the diverse needs of today’s learners and constantly adapt to changes in the educational field. Thus, the combination of AI and soft skills development in the basic training of future teachers offers a promising path to creating competent educators adapted to the contemporary challenges of education. The proposal will be developed and experimented on future teachers in next work.
