- Abstract
Understanding user behavior and adoption is essential in the rapidly changing world of online. In this context, this article performs an in-depth analysis of the technology acceptance model, encompassing TAM, TAM 2 and TAM as well as the expectation confirmation model. The article examines the usefulness of ECM and TAM in online by carefully reviewing the literature and carefully considering the advantages, disadvantages and consequences of each approach. By dissecting these models within the eLearning landscape, the article aims to deepen comprehension of their effectiveness in enhancing student engagement and optimizing learning outcomes. Additionally, it critically assesses their suitability, addressing challenges identified in prior studies. Embracing a critical perspective, this article contributes to the ongoing discourse surrounding ECM and TAM’s relevance in eLearning environments, urging further investigation to tackle the intricacies of online education.
