- Abstract
Campus green spaces possess restorative qualities that can enhance college students’ emotional perceptions, helping to stabilize their positive psychological states. However, the pathways through which these restorative characteristics influence students’ emotional well-being, and the supporting data, have not been adequately studied. The study focuses on the campus landscape of Shenyang Architecture University, analyzing the causal relationship between green spaces and students’ emotional perceptions. Through a literature review, questionnaires, and principal component analysis, the study identifies key subjective perception factors related to spatial restorative properties. A conceptual model of structural equations is proposed to quantify the pathways and effects of these factors on students’ mental health. The findings suggest that the design of campus green spaces can be further optimized to enhance their restorative impact.
