- Abstract
Ethnic minority regions hold significant strategic importance in China, as their development relates not only to ethnic unity and social harmony but also has far-reaching implications for the country's overall progress. In these areas, education serves as a key driver of economic and social development. Rural teachers in ethnic minority regions bear the crucial responsibility of cultivating local talent, and their professional development deserves greater attention. Specifically, the motivations and beliefs that sustain rural teachers in their educational roles require careful consideration, alongside societal concern for their mental health. This study aims to explore the current state of alienation among rural teachers in ethnic minority regions. Through a questionnaire survey conducted among teachers at a rural school in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the findings reveal that the level of alienation among these teachers is moderately high, indicating a need for further exploration and effective measures to improve this situation.
