- Abstract
This study employed a quantitative research method, focusing on the “Business English Reading (II)” course at Xiamen Institute of Technology. It empirically explored the teaching effectiveness of the blended learning model based on the Chaoxing Xuexitong Learning Platform and Delta Reading Platform. By comparing the overall course scores of students in the 2021 intake (n=59) and the 2022 intake (n=52), the study found that after implementing the blended teaching model with enhanced personalized learning, the average overall score of the 2022 intake was significantly higher than that of the 2021 intake (77.15 points vs. 73.83 points). Further analysis revealed that the excellent rate (80 points or above) of the 2022 intake of students increased from 31.67% to 46.15%, while the failure rate decreased from 8.47% to 3.85%. The platform data also showed that the total reading volume and the completion rate of personalized tasks of the students significantly improved. The results indicate that the personalized learning path design driven by data can effectively enhance students’ overall academic achievements and learning engagement.
