Abstract

The rapid advancement of generative AI and the innovation of emotional education concepts have opened dual pathways for student emotional education: technological empowerment and theoretical reconstruction. Addressing the core tension between technological efficiency and humanistic values, this study integrates social-emotional learning theory, generative AI technical characteristics, and critical technology philosophy perspectives to propose a “technology-emotion” symbiotic framework. Through three-dimensional integration at the technological, theoretical, and philosophical orientation levels, this framework overcomes the traditional disconnect between instrumental rationality and value rationality in emotional education. The study reveals three dilemmas of generative AI in emotional education: limitations of disembodied interaction, ambiguous ethical responsibility, and disconnect in technological practice, proposing collaborative solutions. Student emotional education will inevitably offer dialectical insights into the worldview and value systems of future education, necessitating systematic and forward-looking theoretical exploration and practical reflection.
