This paper explores the current applications of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in the global museum sector, the challenges faced, and future development trends. Through analysis of intelligent guidance, cultural heritage protection, virtual exhibitions, and other aspects, combined with practical case studies, it demonstrates how AI technology enhances museum operational efficiency, enriches visitor experiences, and promotes cultural dissemination and innovation. The paper also discusses bottlenecks encountered in technology application, personnel transformation needs, and ethical and legal issues, proposing corresponding strategies and recommendations to provide references for the digital transformation and sustainable development of museums.
