Abstract

The production of comfort-driven technologies in the 21st century has hindered environmental solutions. Comfort oriented technology does provide a temporary solution and innovations; however, in the modern 21st century, the number of these technologies has become outnumbered and uses huge amounts of natural resources. This research review paper studies the impacts of Comfort Oriented Technologies on the environment and its solutions. It investigates the concept of COTD, what drives this technology, its impact on the environment, how it is delaying the environmental solution, what major problem it’s causing, the environmental implications of comfort-driven innovation, and discusses the broader challenges of aligning technological development with long-term environmental sustainability.
