- Abstract
This study evaluates the effectiveness of the Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) and Bantuan Pangan Non-Tunai (BPNT) social assistance programs in West Sulawesi, Indonesia, using William Dunn’s five dimensions of policy evaluation: effectiveness, efficiency, adequacy, equity, and responsiveness. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining quantitative data from Likert-scale surveys with qualitative insights derived from interviews and official documents. The findings indicate significant contributions of these programs to poverty alleviation and basic needs fulfillment, but challenges persist regarding targeting accuracy and program responsiveness. This study provides actionable recommendations to improve the implementation of social assistance programs in Indonesia.
