- Abstract
This research explores about the extent of legal protection for Indonesian Migrant Workers affected by Malpractice. The problem that will be discussed in this study is how the legal protection from Indonesian government provided to their overseas labour who are affected by Malpractice when receiving medical treatment in the host country. Analyzing the issue by Normative Legal Research method which examines the knowledge of existing legal literacy. The results of the study show that the victim has not received quick legal protection in malpractice cases abroad, because if you look at the period from the first time the victim was admitted to the hospital to get legal aid attention, it took a long time, up to five months. It is hoped that with this writing, the government can fulfill the migrant workers’ rights and facilitate legal protection for migrant workers who are affected by malpractice, so that they do not stay abroad for too long and oversee the repatriation process quickly.
