- Abstract
This paper analyzes The Old Well and Little Baozhuang to explore the group consciousness behind their story line, character images, environment, etc. It explores the pursuit of traditional Chinese “irrational” group consciousness in root-seeking literature, probes the connotation, merits and demerits of the national group consciousness, and thinks about how to realize the positive transformation of the irrational group consciousness into the Chinese national community consciousness, so as to realize the positive transformation of the Chinese national community consciousness. We will explore the connotations and advantages and disadvantages of national group consciousness, consider how to realize the positive transformation of irrational group consciousness into Chinese national community consciousness, and bring into play the modern value of group consciousness.
