- Abstract
In recent years, the development potential of male-oriented IP (Intellectual Property) in the online literature industry has been continuously explored, with IP conversion methods expanding and the industry chain extending. Its influence in markets such as film and television adaptations, as well as anime and game integrations, has risen rapidly, and its overall development momentum is now surpassing that of female-oriented IP, which originally held an advantage in this field. This outcome is driven by multiple factors. Firstly, the market potential for male-oriented IP is enormous. Secondly, advancements in anime, film, and television technologies have broken down the technical barriers that previously existed for adapting male-oriented online literature into film and television works. Thirdly, male-oriented literature contains a large number of “sci-fi+” IPs, which cater to the current popular sci-fi trend and are more likely to open up new markets. This article will analyze the reasons behind the rapid rise in the influence of male-oriented online literature IPs, using this phenomenon as the backdrop and incorporating relevant data released by various platforms.
