- Abstract
This article focuses on the current situation and challenges of news authenticity and trust crisis in the new media environment. The rapid development of new media technology has changed the way information is disseminated, but it has also caused problems such as compromised news authenticity and decreased audience trust. The article analyzes the connotation of news authenticity, the challenges it faces (such as false news, the contradiction between reporting speed and accuracy), the reasons for the trust crisis (the lack of professional ethics among journalists, insufficient media literacy of audiences), and discusses its impact on news media, social public opinion, and audience information acquisition. Finally, strategies to enhance the authenticity and trustworthiness of news were proposed, aiming to provide reference for these issues in the new media environment.
