Abstract

In recent years, the role and importance of the relationship between globalization and education have been increasingly pivotal in terms of preparing young adults for the interconnected world. This relationship, whose significance is heightening day by day, has also had a profound impact on every stage of education and educational approaches across the globe. It is inevitable that early childhood, which is considered the first step of education, will be affected by the improvements brought by globalization and the change it has initiated. However, these effects are not unidirectional; early childhood education also plays a role in shaping global perspectives by fostering intercultural awareness and tolerance from a young age. Considering the importance of early childhood and the role of children in the process of globalization, it has become one of the most essential focal points of studies that examine the impacts of globalization on education. The present study's main aim is to explore globalization's multifaceted impact on cultural diversity and teacher training in early childhood education. The funda- mental objective of this study, which utilizes a qualitative research methodology, is to investigate challenges and opportunities arising from globalization within early childhood education settings, particularly regarding cultural diversity and teacher preparation. That’s why we arranged this paper based on qualitative re- search methodology based on a literature review. The findings of this study highlight the pivotal role teachers play in fostering inclusive classroom environments, which are essential for nurturing young learners’ global awareness and citizenship skills.
