- Abstract
This study examines residents’ attitudes toward sustainable tourism in Agadir, Morocco, utilizing the Sustainable Tourism Attitude Scale (SUS-TAS). By implementing confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), the research identifies key dimensions of resident attitudes and assesses the reliability of SUS-TAS in this cultural context. Findings reveal a generally positive inclination towards sustainable tourism among Agadir's residents, highlighting significant variations based on age and education level. Younger and more educated residents show greater support for sustainable tourism initiatives, emphasizing environmental sustainability and economic benefits. The study contributes methodologically by validating SUS-TAS in a Moroccan context and underscores the importance of demographic considerations in sustainable tourism planning.
