- Abstract
The kidneys are a vital part of the body that maintains a stable body condition. High blood glucose levels are a sign of a chronic disease known as diabetes mellitus. In this study, see howActivity test of nanoemulsion preparation of lemongrass extract (Cymbopogon Citratus L.) on reducing urea, creatinine, glomerular and tubular changes in rat kidneys induced by streptozotocin. The sample of this study was 24 Wistar rats divided into 4 groups, namely the control group, treatment group 1, 2, and 3.Normally, blood urea and creatinine levels increase as kidney function declines. The result is:nanoemulsion extractfragrant lemongrass (Cymbopogon Citratus L) is effective in reducing blood glucose in mice and improving kidney function (urea and creatinine) with the most effective concentration at F3 (5%) with glucose results 89.3 mg/dl, urea 18.5 mg/dL and creatinine 0.51 mg/dL.
