- Abstract
The liver is a vital organ in the body that plays a role in the metabolism of toxic substances. Type 2 diabetes mellitus increases the risk of microvascular (retinopathy, neuropathy, and nephropathy) and macrovascular (cardiovascular) complications. This study aims to examineeffectiveness of lemongrass extract nanoemulsion (Cymbopogon Citratus L.) on reducing NAFLD scores and necrosis levels in the liver of type 2 diabetes mellitus mice after streptozoticin induction with a research sample of 20 Wistar strain rats were divided into 5 groups, namely positive control group, negative control group, treatment group 1, 2 and 3. With the resultsgivingnanoemulsion of lemongrass extract(Cymbopogon Citratus L) can also reduce blood glucose levels in mice with the effectiveness of the extract at concentrations of 3%, 2% and then 1%.
